Leah Davis is a radio presenter and stand-up comedian, who currently can be heard on Capital XTRA Monday to Thursday from 10pm to 1am, and Sundays from 1 pm to 4 pm.
Leah joined Capital XTRA in 2017, and has hosted the Late Show since 2019. She also launched the Capital XTRA Book Club Podcast last year, where she chats to Black authors about the work that they’re putting out in the world, with guests including Amber Rose-Gill, Yewande Biala, Candice Brathwaite-Aboderin and Jordan Stevens.
Since kicking off her comedy career in 2022 Leah has reached the finals for the iconic Funny Women competition and BBC New Comedy Awards semi finals. She has smashed some of London’s most lethal gong shows including Beat The Blackout, Ding Dong Gong and was named a ‘Face of Comedy’ for 2023.
She has hosted several live panels at book festivals over the past couple of years, including the Cheltenham Literature Festival and the Henley Literary Festival.
She got her early beginnings in at Royal Holloway University’s station Insanity Radio, where she also studied French with Politics and International Relations, and prior to joining the Capital XTRA team, she worked at Columbia Records’ PR team.
